Program Area Updates
General Assistance
MSA clients now have additional time to apply for other maintenance benefits. Previously, MSA clients were allowed 30 days to apply for such benefits. Effective June 19, 2026, MSA clients have 90 days to apply. This is the same amount of time that other cash programs allow. CM 12.12 APPLYING FOR OTHER BENEFITS has been updated to reflect this change. DHS-2116 Notice to Apply for Other Maintenance Benefits will be updated soon.
Housing Support Program
The Housing Support Program (HSP) has an opening! We encourage anyone interested to apply.

RCA Background
RCA changes the eligibility period from 12 months to 4 months, effective 05/05/2025.
RCA Administrations for the 12 counties from the Public Private Partnership (PPP agencies) to state (RPO RCA) administration, effective 10/01/2025.
RCA CMs Updated (Section 30 of the CM)
CM Moratorium, in effect from last summer through March 2026
Some RCA CM sections are updated in 04/2026 and 05/2026. This update includes changes from bulletins: 1) #25-06-2: DHS announces reduction of the eligibility period for refugee cash assistance and refugee medical assistance and 2) #25-06-03: DHS announces change in refugee cash assistance administration
