REGION REPORTS: Region 4 – Missy is doing a training on 8/4/26
LIASON REPORTS:
· DCYF: Andrea said they are adding 2 more trainer positions. She said there is a new training TES319-2.
· Healthcare: Ge said there are a lot of updates, see his report.
· CCAP: The new CCAP dashboard has a lot of good information on it. Sarah also said that the help desk has started a newsletter. Next support hour is 8/10/26 from 10-11
· MFIA: They are getting ready for their fall conference as well.
· DHS:
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
· Website - Registration is open and 25 people have registered for conference. Also there is a survey on the Facebook asking if people want conference in St Cloud or Cragun’s
CONFERENCE:
· Planning
· Vendors-Are all state agency fees waived or is it just DCYF/DHS? We talked about this and yes for all government agencies they vendor fee is waived.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: Please make sure you are reviewing the committee duties!
o By-Laws: Scholarship fund & Region Meetings – We talked about how region 7 charges for their Spring Training. Ben will send out a By-Law change/addition about this. It needs to be voted on by the members not just the board.
o Development/Hospitality: We will have some free rooms at the Holiday Inn. Presidential Suite; to the speaker? Possible option to entice registration by giving away a free room; possibly put the first so many that register in a drawing? We talked about letting the Sponsors use the rooms. The speaker does not need a room.
o Entertainment: Music Bingo & the Aquarium are booked. Krista is working on the Haunted Ship. The Haunted Ship advanced ticket sales will go on the website.
o Elections: Make sure if your region is up for election this year, you email your region to determine if anyone else is interested so we know if we need to run an election for you. See chart below:

o FW/CA Award: This is open and Angela will pull them once it closes.
o Registration/Membership: 25 people have registered for conference. Aug 31 Early Bird ends and Sept 30 Registration closes.
o Newsletter/Communications: They will be sending out a newsletter in the next few days.
o Scholarship/Vendors: They are still looking for more vendors – let someone from the committee know if you have a vendor in mind.
o Sessions: MFIP Compliance backed out they are working with Scrpits for them to do a breakout.
o Speaker: She will bring about 40 books to sell at conference
New Business:
· Mileage-if your county does not coverage mileage; make sure there is a current note on file.
· Region funds-Should we make a motion to update the split or leave as 50/50? Ben will take care of
· Is the scholarship fund separate? Make sure that we remember beads, head & tails, bingo money goes to this fund.
· Board Round Table-Changed to board vendor booth
· Let me know by 7/31/26-who is paying for your hotel room for conference-nights etc…

St. Cloud & Brainerd site visit recap-June 29th, 2026 – We shared that both sites are nice and we are meeting on Monday to discuss
further.
· Financial worker and Case aide day submitted to Governor Walz

Krista & Maria brought up putting a store on the website to order MFWCAA Shirts and sweatshirts. We talked about the pros and cons.
We decided to do a poll/survey on Facebook or the website to gauge the interest in it.
