MFWCAA Board Meeting
August 21st, 2026

SECRETARY REPORT: 1st Jessica, 2nd Jacque

TREASURER REPORT: 1st Krista 2nd Jacque

REGION REPORTS: Jacque – Ramsey County brought up if we ever would consider a group membership where the whole county could access the website for a fee. We talked about maybe 25% off? Or reduce the membership fee for everyone? Or membership runs from July to July? We talked about doing more stuff virtual for conference since county budgets are so tight? We will keep talking about it.

LIASON REPORTS: 

·        DCYF: Report was sent out.

·        Healthcare: Report was sent out. Ge had to leave the meeting

·        CCAP: Report was sent out.

·        MFIA: Sarah shared they have a conference Oct 1, 2026

·        DHS: Report was sent out.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: 

·        Website: Price increase by $15 per month-$220.25. Missy is now helping with the website-questions should be sent to Maria, Ben and
                          Missy – send stuff to mfwcaa@gmail.com

·        Region trainings-acct procedures-separate accounts per CPA – so they have to only use region funds, you have to have event insurance also it not at county office.

CONFERENCE: Brochures, signage and QR code are being created – Andrea and Maria are working on this.

MFWCAA will have a vender booth at conference – have a sign-up sheet to work it

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

o  By-Laws:  The by-law change was emailed out. No one response

Ben motioned 1st 2nd Missy $10 of membership to general, $10 region, $5 website.

o  Development/Hospitality: We looked at the t-shirt design and everyone liked it. It is attached to email. I will reach out to those I don’t have a size for.

o  Entertainment: Everything is set. She is still working with Big Frog. Since we are selling bingo cards we need a permit. Krista is going to a meeting on this.

o  Elections: Make sure if your region is up for election this year, you email your region to determine if anyone else is interested so we know if we need to run an election for you.

o  FW/CA Award: They had about 15 people that were nominated.

o  Registration/Membership: 128 so far registered for conference

o  Newsletter/Communications: Newsletter going out later today. Missy will be doing this going forward. Maybe do meet your Region Rep section in the newsletter.

o  Scholarship/Vendors: Scholarship has been issued. 27 vendors so far. We talked about vendors submitting a basket – maybe some incentive if they do?

o  Sessions: Andrea & Maria are working on this.

o  Speaker: She will have 40 books for purchase at conference. She donated 5 books to us - 1 book for a basket, I book for the golden ticket and 3 for bingo

New Business:

·        Cragun’s-2029 & 2030 contract has been signed

·        Bank-September in person meeting-go to US bank to make updates to acct-remove Ben, add Krista-this needs to be motioned and minutes available for bank visit.

·        Above changes Motioned by Maria, 2nd Jacque. Approved.

Announcements: September 18th meeting will be in person at the Library.
